The products you sell should absolutely represent who you are, so don’t be afraid to show some personality. This is Walmart, people are here for a unique experience only you can sell them on. Infusing your personality makes it known that Shop visitor is dealing with you directly. People love people! J

Remember the Basics

Always ask yourself, “What do I need to know about this product?” when you write your product descriptions. Something you think is obvious might not seem that way to a customer. Don’t be afraid to ask your friends or even better former customers what they liked about it.

That Something Special

This isn’t the time to be humble so if there is something incredible about the way your product is made, tell that story. Everyone buying something handmade or one-of-a-kind is looking for something more.

Fit & Finish

Take a second and double check everything before you post a product live. Nobody will take you serious if your shop is filled with typos, haphazard capitalization, and poor grammar. These online fails are the equivalent to a filthy shop. Do yourself a favor and don’t have a messy shop.

Stay in Touch

Once you get the sale, this is your opportunity to start a lifelong relationship. Who doesn’t love a hand written thank you card?! Speaking directly with your customer will create a found memory they have for your shop. Don’t over think it, even a direct email can have a HUGE impact and spark meaningful conversations.
